Charlie Harvey was born in Central Africa in 1955 and grew up at Shiwa Ng'andu with his legendary grandfather Sir Stewart Gore-Browne. Charlie is fluent in more than four Zambian languages and walked, hunted and fished his way through most of his childhood. At the tender age of 9 he had already taken his first buffalo and at 14 his first elephant.

Charlie is a passionate conservationist, whether hunting in the wild game management areas or on the spectacular game ranches Zambia has to offer. His enthusiasm for a good walk and stalk, sometimes for hours on hands and knees through grasslands and forests is legendary.
