Description:
The launch of the African Economic Outlook (AEO) Report 2014 is meant to share findings of this premier collaborative flagship publication by the AfDB, OECD Development Centre and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The target audience is the Bank’s Board of Governors and Board of Directors; African policy-makers and the private sector and non-state actors. The report theme is Global Value Chains and Africa’s Industrialization, and it uniquely highlights how Africa’s engagement in the global economy can foster industrialization. Like its predecessors, this year’s edition takes an analytical perspective covering all 54 African countries by highlighting recent economic performance and providing medium-term growth projections.
